Elaia Cafe Turns 28! Join Us for New Beers, Wines, and Coffee! π»π
Winter in Launceston has certainly delivered. Subzero temperatures, fog, frost, rain with the brilliant sunshine in between, we've had it all. Thankyou to everyone braving the elements to get to us and those not so brave for ordering takeaways. It's always a delight to see your faces walk through our doors and so appreciative of your support. We have a lot to unpack today, so let's get cracking.
What's New at Elaia
Happy 28th Birthday To Elaia
Unsure of the exact date and I totally nearly forgot but we opened in July and the year was 1996. These pics are of the original Elaia taken at the time before we did a massive refurb back in 2005. I've lost count the number of reinventions we've had over the years. Some of which I wish I'd taken a holiday instead. But by far the scariest, challenging and most rewarding change we've done is embracing our Greek/Cypriot culture and heritage and providing Launceston and the north of the State an authentic Greek dining experience. Thankyou to our Chefs for embracing this change to our menu and to our Front of House team for learning what Greek hospitality is all about. And to you for being part of our journey, our brand and our hospitality. Iβm so grateful to you.
Happy Birthday to us!
