Our Family Is Getting Bigger
And We're Happy That You're A Part Of It...


What a year it's been & we're already more than half way through! A lot of exciting things have been happening at Elaia... I don't know where to start.

Firstly, our Elaia VIP Member Family has grown extraordinarily this year, so we'd like to extend a HUGE WELCOME to all our new VIP Members - we're super excited you've chosen to be a member of the Elaia Family & look forward to seeing you all enjoying your VIP offers in the months ahead.

Our Elaia VIP Family is not the only thing that's grown - We're Summer Ready!!
Our very own Elaia team has seen some recent additions & we're all trained up & summer ready - our team has quite literally grown up together & are ready to look after you, our extended Elaia Family.

Firstly our Apprentice Chef Jaedyn has now qualified & after 4 years we're delighted that he's decided to stay on with us at Elaia. Jaedyn is a gun at breakfast service on busy weekends, on hot side during dinner service & always up for a challenge when it comes to trying out new sweet things to add to our cake cabinet for you to enjoy.

Alyse, our most recent addition to our
Back of House Chef Team
comes with a wealth of experience - she's also the creator of our famous Brioche Donuts that have been the talk of the town recently.

Sarah Bennett our Head Chef has been with us since she was 16 when she started on work placement. I remember the smile on Sarah's face when we offered her an apprenticeship and after 11 years and feeding 1000's of guests, she's still smiling & making it look oh so easy. It's been an honour seeing her qualify with us, continue with us working alongside other Chefs gaining a wealth of experience to finally become our Head Chef. She has quite literally grown up with us & has been Perry's rock and support in all Back of House operations.

Sarah Whiley our Restaurant Manager who has been my rock for 15 years, started by Managing our second Elaia Cafe in the Quadrant Mall & moved to manage Elaia in Charles Street after it was sold. Like Chef Sarah, Sarah has also grown up with us & has looked after 1000's guests & managed 100's of Front Of House Team Members over the years, a lot of whom have become & still are part of the Elaia family.

Then there's our son John - for those of you that know us well & have been a part of our Elaia journey, you'll recall our 2 sons literally growing up in the cafe... Our older son Jorge is now living & studying in Melbourne & John decided from a very early age that he wanted to be a Chef & work alongside Dad Perry at Elaia... & that's exactly what he's doing.

Jaime-Lee, Jenna & more recently Celeste are the familiar & more regular faces you'll see gracing our dining room floors & making your coffees. Always one step ahead & pre-empting your needs they'll keep you surprised & delighted.

Dylan our Night Manager who some years ago first joined us for Back Of House operations, left & came back a few years later with a passion for Front Of House & creating the ultimate guest experience... and the rest is history.

To sum it up, our entire Elaia team is a crew that when working together is poetry in motion. Their unrivalled loyalty, commitment, dedication & support has inspired us to continue our relentless pursuit of excellence & our ambitious nerve-wracking risk taking when it comes to change. We are always a work in progress as we're always learning & growing. We have all 'grown up' together both on a personal & professional level & could not imagine Elaia without them.

Elaia Menu - Food That Is Seasonal, Tasty, Comforting
With A Modern Twist

Whilst we have seen some significant food trends over the years, we are proud to say that our current Elaia Menu consists of our guests most favourite signature dishes with new Elaia Food dishes that grace our Menu Boards & Breakfast Specialties Menus.

We 've gone down the road of revamping & overhauling our Menu... what a Menu Shock that was!... but you spoke, we listened & we brought back your favourites. Our Chefs know the brief when they come up with new menu creations... it has to be Authentically Elaia - honest, seasonal, tasty & comforting with a modern twist.

We pride ourselves on making & baking everything from scratch to Elaia. Our chefs make all our biscuits, cakes & slices in house. All our sauces, stocks, relishes & bases are made from scratch. The sauce you enjoyed with your steak has been reducing for 3 days, the relish you enjoyed with your breakfast was bubbling & cooking for hours, the brioche donut you ate with your takeaway coffee was made with 24 hour proven dough. The tiramisu was made with over 1Litre of double shot coffees from our espresso machine... Everything lovingly prepared & made in house.

Our Menu Boards have received rave reviews recently with the reintroduction of "Choose your own meat, sauce & sides". You have pork, duck, chicken, beef &
4 sauces & up to 10 sides to choose from - that's right, 10 sides!!

Our house made ice-cream has been a real treat with our Chefs experimenting with different flavours & textures... White chocolate & coconut or caramel slice just to name a few.
